St Andrew's Church of England School
A national accolade brings local acclaim to this hard-working Worcestershire first school.
St Andrew's CE is a primary school in Hampton, Evesham. Staff and pupils began working with Achievement for All in 2012.
The Impact of Achieving More
St Andrew's was awarded the national Quality Lead Award in 2016, in recognition of the school's work to improve progress in reading, writing and maths for all its pupils. Headteacher, Adam Spencer, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be awarded quality lead status and are proud to be the first school in Evesham to be presented with the award. Regular conversations with parents strengthen links between home and school, removing barriers and providing a consistent support system for the child and clear, personalised targets.”
He added that “The award celebrates the strategic planning that has helped the school focus on making those marginal gains, often small changes to our practice which when combined have led to even better outcomes for our students and their families. Achievement for All has been an overwhelming success at our school and ties in with our vision to provide the very best start for every child so they achieve to their full potential.”
Achievement for All's Laura Bromberg, a regional director, explained that the award was “a real stamp of quality for [the school's] high standards in leadership, teamwork, quality of teaching and pupil progress... St Andrew’s CE School has shown a continued commitment and success in improving outcomes for all children across the whole school and that of other children within the local area.” She said it was “truly deserved”.
The success of St Andrew's in achieving the Quality Lead Award was widely reported in the Worcester region, offering a real boost to staff, pupils, parents, and the local community.
